The Red Raiders is excited to announce that we are committed to building the number of girls playing our sport. As a result, the Red Raiders has decided to run a girls only evening on Wednesday nights at St Paul from 7:00-8:00 pm. These sessions are free of charge and will begin on Wednesday September 27th. If your daughter is interested in another night of basketball, please feel free to attend. If we have enough girls, we will run 3 on 3 games too.
Our house league assessment days are now set. The season will begin on the following days:
Atom division (born in 2011 or 2012)
Will begin on Tuesday September 27th from 6:15-7:45 pm at Princess Margaret. The second assessment day will be Saturday October 1st from 9:15-10:45 am at Princess Margaret. After these two days, teams will be set and regular practices will begin. Our first games will take place on Saturday October 15th at Princess Margaret.
Bantam division (born in 2009 or 2010)
Will begin on Thursday September 29th from 6:15-7:45 pm at Princess Margaret. The second assessment day will be Saturday October 1st from 11:15-12:45 am at Princess Margaret. After these two days, teams will be set and regular practices will begin. Our first games will take place on Saturday October 15th at Princess Margaret.
High School division (born in 2005-2008)
Will begin on Friday September 30th from 6:15-7:45 pm at Princess Margaret. Games will begin on Monday October 17th at A.N. Myer.
Novice (born in 2016-2013)
This division will begin on Saturday October 15th at A.N. Myer Secondary School. Children born in 2015 or 2016 will play from 9:00-10:15. Children born in 2013 or 2014 will play from 10:30-11:45am

Behaviour Guidelines consistent with our Fair Play philosophy have been developed for every participant in the game. Any parent participating in, or watching, a Basketball Ontario sanctioned event is expected to adhere to the following Guidelines for Behaviour:
Remember that children and youth participate in sport for their enjoyment, not your own.
Encourage children and youth to participate, do not force them.
Focus on their efforts and performance rather than winning and losing.
Encourage children and youth to always play according to the rules and to settle disagreements without hostility or violence.
Never ridicule or yell at a child or youth for making a mistake or losing a competition.
Remember that children and youth learn best by example. Appreciate good performances and skillful plays by all participants.
Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.
Respect officials’ decisions and teach children and youth to do likewise.
Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them there would be no competition.
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of his or her race, national or ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, family status or physical appearance.
The cornerstone of Ontario Basketball's Fair Play Policy is a statement of Fair Play. It is distributed to all Ontario Basketball sanctioned programs and services through the use of large posters and postcards in facilities, the distribution of pamphlets to athletes and coaches and the implementation of the Fair Play Policy & Procedures.
Consistent with the Fair Play policy contained within the Athletes' Behavioural Guidelines, Coaches' Behavioural Guidelines and the Spectator Behavioural Guidelines, Ontario Basketball has established the Fair Play Policy & Procedures. In November, 1999, to assist in attaining the goals of this Policy, the Board of Directors appointed a Director of Fair Play & Investigations who shall investigate complaints made pursuant to this Policy in a fair and impartial manner.
